What: Design Exhibition, Showcasing the Foundation Visual Arts Product Designs
When: November 7th, 2013
Time: 2nd & 4th Block and After School from 2:20-3:30 PM
Why: VOTE ON BEST OVERALL DESIGNS
Guests are encouraged to vote on their favorite Sneaker and High Heel design.
Voters should consider:
The top designer of each category will win the Designer of the Semester Award and a special prize!
The second and third place winners of each category will receive honorable mentions, which they can include in their college resumes.
Come cast your votes and support the artists and designers at their first show at Dorchester Academy!

Shoe Design Challenge
In the Foundation Visual Arts courses, students were posed a challenge to develop their own brands and custom shoe designs. For the past 5 weeks the young designers worked on concept development, creating a brand & identity for themselves, constructing & designing a product for their line, and constructing their own, functional packaging devices. These student designers will compete in the final Design Exhibition in the Dorchester Academy Gallery for "best overall design". The two winners will receive the “Top Designer of the Semester Award”, and a special prize. Look out for flyers about the Design Exhibition opening and remember to cast your votes! See you at the show!
